In Fuegen you will find a small selection of nice bars, cosy cafés and various restaurants, as well as sports shops, a bakery and several supermarkets. The beautiful city of Innsbruck is just under fifty kilometres away and worth a day or half day trip. You should also visit the medieval town of Rattenberg (20 km), the turquoise-blue Achensee lake (25 km) and the Crystal Worlds in Wattens (30 km). And of course, there is also plenty to experience and discover inside the Zillertal. Take the Spieljochbahn cable car and glide comfortably up to over 2,000 metres above sea level to enjoy the fantastic views and delicious Tyrolean delicacies in the mountain huts. Cycle along the river or pedal up the mountains with an e-bike. On hot summer days, a bathing trip to the Achensee or Reinthalersee mountain lakes or a refreshing stroll through the picturesque Tiefenbach or Wolfsklamm canyons are great things to do. The Hochzillertal-Kaltenbach ski area is connected to the Hochfuegen freeride paradise and offers endless kilometres of slopes and runs for all riding levels. For fans of electronic music, the Kristallhuette is the place to be! Dance to the beats by international live Djs at over 2,000 metres during the day! And when you still find the time, you should try out the fun toboggan run at the Spieljochbahn or visit the Pre-Christmas market at the nostalgic castle in Fuegen in the enchanting pre-Christmas time.
